Financial Incentives to go Solar
To encourage investment in Renewable Energy and help meet targets for Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) and greenhouse gas emission reduction goals, Federal/State and utility programs offer residential and commercial incentives. The main forms of incentive are direct rebates and tax credits:
Federal Income Tax Credit: 30% of installed system cost, no cap
NY State Income Tax Credit: 25% of installed system cost, $5K cap
NYSERDA Rebate: per/watt (varies, as of 2/1/14, $1.00/watt)
SSRE (Vermont) Rebate: per/watt (varies, as of 2/1/14, $0.25/watt)
Utility Production Credit (VT): per/kWh (varies, ~$0.05-0.06/watt)

These Incentives Can Reduce the Cost of Installing Solar by up to 50% or more!
The cost of installing PV systems has fallen rapidly in recent years due to many factors including expanding global production/supply. As a result, PV Solar installations are more economical than ever. With the ever increasing cost of electricity from traditional utilities, its time your family or business considered "Locking-In" your future energy costs by producing your own electricity with a Photovoltaic (PV) System.
Total system costs vary depending on the size, type and details of the project. For example, a residential roof-mounted installation differs slightly on a cost/watt basis from a ground-mounted installation or a commercial sized system on a low-slope roof.
We now offer Solar Financing!
Ask us about Solar Leasing
Solar leasing allows a customer to avoid the up front costs of a solar-electric system by leasing the equipment instead of purchasing it. Over the term of the lease, the customer "locks-in" their cost per/kWh of electricity and pays the 3rd party system owner for the monthly energy the system produces. All the benefits of Solar without the upfront costs. Leases are not without their disadvantages however; call us to discuss.
Positive Energy NY LLC, offers competitive pricing and the Quality to back it up. We also offer our clients a detailed analysis of their projected electricity production based on latitude, historic weather data, and a solar site inspection to determine shading obstructions.
